An exceptionally beautiful tree, with clusters of stunning scarlet and firey orange flowers, beginning in Spring.
Its broad, spreading canopy, and dense, feathery leaves make this an excellent shade tree.
A fast grower, adding over a metre a year in the right conditions.
D. regia is hardy, adaptable to a range of soils, and is semi-evergreen in sufficiently damp winters.
