A large plane tree with dark green palmate leaves, turning yellow in Autumn, and attractive flaking mottled bark.
Its upright growth habit, with its rounded crown, means that it's extensively used as a street tree, and can be pruned hard if required.
Tolerant of a range of soils and conditions, but does best in deep rich soil with even watering, in an area where its crown can fully develop.
